Ask a question:

How do I create an account to enter my (non-music) course?

Solution

To create an account, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to your course portal. This is the link that was provided by your instructor, and it should look something like this--http://moodle.coastlinelive.com/course/view.php?id=### [or http://moodle.coastlinelive.com/course/view.php?name=###]

2. Click on “Create new account.” (lower right side of screen)

3. Complete the form and click “Create my new account.”

4. Shortly after you submit your new account information, you will receive an email to confirm registration. This will be sent to the email address you provided on the form.

5. Login to your email account and locate the email message. Remember to check the junk/spam folder if you don’t see the confirmation email in your inbox. In the email message, click on the link to confirm the creation of your new account. Your browser will open a new web page. If you are not automatically redirected to your class enrollment page, please paste in the URL provided to you by your instructor.

6. You will see the message "You are about to enroll yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this?" Click “Yes.”

7. Depending on the course, you may be prompted for an access code/serial number and/or an enrollment key. If you get a prompt, follow these guidelines:
       a.  For an access code/serial key prompt, enter the number exactly as it appears on either the back of
the card you purchased or the back of the front cover of your lab manual.
       b.  For an enrollment key, please enter the number exactly as it was provided to you by your instructor
(this is very important, since the server is case sensitive." If you do not have an enrollment key,
please submit a help desk ticket requesting assistance.

 8. After taking these steps, you will be enrolled in the class and be able to access your course materials.
