Ask a question:

How do I add italics to my assignment if the editing toolbar is missing? (only available for HTML enabled accounts)

Solution

Please follow these instructions if the editing toolbar (which allows italics) is missing:

1. Paste your assignment in the submission box as usual.

2. Switch the editor (below submission box) to HMTL.

3. Submit your assignment.

4. When the screen appears with your submission on screen, immediately click on the "Edit my submission button."

5. The editing toolbar should be there.

6. Select the text that you would like to be displayed in italics and click on italicized "I" to italicize the text.

If your account is not HTML enabled, please edit your profile within your Moodle course. Please change the field "When editing text" from "Use standard web forms" to "Use HTML editor." Once this change is applied, you should be able to display the editing toolbar.
