How do I clear the Java cache on my Windows 8 computer?

Solution

Please follow the instructions below:

 1.    Press the Windows logo key + W to open the Search charm to search settings.

 2.    In the search box, enter "Java Control Panel."

 3.    Click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel. 

 4.    In the Java Control Panel, under the General tab, click on "Settings" (not Network Settings)
        under the "Temporary Internet Files" section.

 5.    The Temporary Files Settings dialog box appears. 

 6.    Click on "Delete Files" on the Temporary Files Settings 

 7.    The "Delete Files and Applications" dialog box appears.

 8.    Check the "Trace and Log Files and Cached Applications and Applets."

 9.    Click "OK." 

10.    Click "OK" on the Temporary Files Settings dialog.
